In the remainder of this paper we explain how the service configuration process takes place, and how it is facilitated by a service ontology. We demonstrate how we put our theory into practice by presenting a case study from the energy sector. We first present in Section 2 a top-level description of our service ontology, followed by an explanation of service terminology that underlies our work (Section 3). Subsequently, in Section 4 we explain how services can be described as components. Then, in Section 5 we introduce our case study domain, the electricity market, and we analyze potential service bundles in this market using our configuration-biased service ontology.
